Retirees: The Back-to-the-Future Workforce

The aging U.S. population and, in particular, the retiring Baby Boomer generation, could have a profound effect on the U.S. workforce. As this large generation moves to retirement age, successive smaller generations are not likely to meet the excess demand for workers that the U.S. economy will need to fuel its expansion.

Monster has produced a research study to better understand the attitudes of retirement among the different generations of workers. The study explores how workers perceive their retirement and whether they desire to work or foresee themselves working after retirement. Further, Monster investigates what will motivate the different generations to come out of retirement and re-enter the workforce.
