Posting Jobs Finding Resumes Managing Candidates Other Solutions

The Talent Tsunami

Talent creates the lion’s share of value in the developed world’s companies, and those who calculate the intangible assets of organizations put the product of brainpower at 80 percent of a company’s value. But, the balance of power in today’s human capital market is shifting from the employer to the individual. Talent is getting harder to come by. The average length of time to fill a job is getting longer. And the average tenure of a person remaining in a job is shorter.

Three waves of change are converging worldwide to create a talent tsunami in the workforce. In the United States, employers spend more than $250 billion a year locating, securing and holding onto skilled labor. Help wanted advertising alone cost employers $20 billion globally in 2007.

In this webinar, we discovered:

  • What are the waves of change shifting the balance of power from employer to individual?
  • What should you do to be well positioned in this war for talent?
  • How can you engage skilled talent and retain them in your organization?
