A Closer Look at the Dallas-Fort Worth Job Market
2008 Recruiting Outlook

Monster’s analysis of Dallas’ job seeking and recruiter posting activity uncovered vital information for building a strong sourcing and hiring program in 2008 and beyond. With an analysis of recruitment trends and job candidate activity, along with a survey of both recruiters and current job seekers.

Key Take-Aways
Dallas’ recruitment climate challenges local organizations with specialized - yet common - hiring issues. While more than half of Monster applicants are stressed about their job search, recruiters and hiring managers have also felt the pressure of a strong market for essential talent. Moreover, over 40% of recruiters find at least 30% of their open positions “difficult to fill”, and more than half take over one month to fill their typical open postions. As with many hiring markets, the cause is often a recruiting message that does not reaching the specific, best qualified candidates for that open position.
